Hi! My name's Rachel.

Massage therapy was not part of my plan. I'd done some college here and there, but didn't know what I wanted to do. In early 2013 I was working as a receptionist at a spa in Ipswich, and Spa Tech Institute was a massage, polarity, and esthetic school a few minutes down the street. At the spa, I would see customers after their massages looking completely transformed, no longer weighed down by the stress of the day, all through therapeutic touch.

In April 2013, I enrolled in Spa Tech's 770-hour holistic program. I learned a lot and was very fortunate to have smart and inspiring teachers, but it wasn't until the last two months where everything clicked. The muscular system made sense, how things moved and connected. I had a knack for it and the opportunities poured in. I've been a massage instructor at Spa Tech; a traveling LMT for clients with varying disabilities; mobile chair and table massage (group office events and in-home appointments); and, most recently, 7 years as the manager of and LMT at a franchise massage studio (Elements Massage in Burlington).

Certificate courses I've completed (so far) and specialties I offer include: Graston Technique®, 16 CEUs of Erik Dalton's MAT®, Reiki Level 1, cupping therapy, hot stones, prenatal, chair massage, and my own signature therapeutic style. I'm interested in learning Ashiatsu Massage, Cranial-Sacral, Lymphatic Drainage and heaps more.

When I'm not working, I'm with my dogs, plants, future husband, friends, and planning the next concert, festival, weekend getaway, cross country trip, and dreaming of the day I open a sanctuary for unwanted dogs.
